IPEIA 2018 Conference Call For Presentations

The 2018 Program Committee for IPEIA is soliciting presentations with a focus on the pressure equipment industry and its technologies. Presentations should be relevant to the design, construction, operation, in-service inspection, repairs and maintenance of pressure equipment and storage tanks, and case studies dealing with root cause failure analysis, accident / incident investigation, and multi-jurisdictional concerns.
Deadline for submission is September 29th, 2017. Suggested topics include but are not limited to:

  • Asset Integrity Management
  • Materials / Welding
  • Engineering Analysis and Design
  • Inspection and NDE
  • Case Studies / Failure analysis
  • Codes and Regulations

Technical Presenter Guidelines

PRESENTATION PREPARATION

    1. Presentations will be 30 minutes long with 5 minutes allotted for a question & answer session.
      • Presentation files must not exceed 10MB in size. Video content is permitted but must discussed and approved with your IPEIA program committee member (length, relevance, etc.). No external links will be permitted.
    2. All presentations must be submitted by December 15, 2017 to admin@ipeia.com.
      Note:This presentation is considered the FINAL Presentation. Any changes to the presentation must have written approval from the Program Chair or Vice Chair. It is important for all Presenters to bring a back up copy of their approved presentations to the conference. Any discrepancies from the approved presentation will result in the presentation being stopped and removed from the program during the conference.
    3. Waivers for Video Recordings are required and must be submitted with the presentation.
    4. The IPEIA approved power point presentation template & format guidelines must be used to prepare your presentations and will be the only type of presentation material permitted.
    5. Please follow the guidelines in the template to ensure your presentation will be approved.
    6. All presentations MUST BE REVIEWED and APPROVED by a member of the 2018 IPEIA Program Committee. Presentations that have not been reviewed cannot be presented.


COMMERCIALISM: Commercialism in the presentation (e.g., references to trade names, company names, product names, etc.) IS NOT PERMITTED. No more than one reference may be made to any product, company, etc., in the presentation of papers or PowerPoint documents, and the Session Chair has the responsibility of interrupting the presentation and stopping the speaker if this occurs.

HANDOUTS: Handouts are not permitted.

VIDEO RECORDINGS: All Technical Presentations will be recorded and made available to the 2018 IPEIA Members post conference (made available from the secured IPEIA Membership website).

TECHNICAL PRESENTER: All presentation must be presented by the author. Only in extenuating circumstances will the Program Committee approve an alternate, or additional presenter. Should a presenter need to nominate an alternate, their name must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the submission deadline.

TECHNICAL PRESENTER’S BIOGRAPHY: Must be submitted by December 15, 2017.

TECHNICAL PRESENTER’S BREAKFAST: Breakfast is held on each of the three conference days. Technical Presenters are required to attend this meeting to meet your Session Chair and Program Representative in person. As well, they can answer any questions you might have regarding IPEIA and/or your presentation.

TECHNICAL PRESENTER’S DELEGATE PASS: Selected 2018 Technical Presenters receive 1 complimentary 2018 IPEIA Conference Delegate FULL Pass.
